Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture (ZM), State plant Protection Service (SAAD) and Rural support Service (Lada) will participate in the Norwegian grant bilateral Cooperation Fund initiative “Exchange of experience with the Norwegian Institute for Bioeconomic studies on soil data processing in Norway”. During the implementation of the initiative, experts from ZM, SAAD and Lada will travel from 21 to 23 August 2023 to the Norwegian Institute for Bioeconomic studies (NIBIO), where they will acquire Norwegian experience in soil mapping, familiarise themselves with the Norwegian soil information system, soil data and their use in thematic maps.
Latvian experts will share their experience in soil agrochemical research, soil fertility assessment, cooperation with private agrochemical service providers and soil carbon monitoring. Exchange of experience will bring new knowledge and valuable experience to Latvian and Norwegian experts, as well as strengthen mutual cooperation.
The initiative is implemented with the support of the bilateral Cooperation Fund of the Programme on Climate Change mitigation, Adaptation to and the Environment of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and is fully funded by the Kingdom of Norway.
