On Monday, March 3rd, Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze met with Elnur Sultanov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Latvia, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Both parties discussed Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze's possible visit to Azerbaijan, including preparations for the Latvia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission meeting, planned on May 12th in Baku. They also discussed the cooperation proposals previously submitted by Latvia, with the Azerbaijani side particularly appreciating the opportunity to collaborate in the forestry sector.
The officials agreed that there is significant potential for further development of agricultural cooperation between Latvia and Azerbaijan and expressed their commitment to continuing work on joint projects.
