Zemkopības ministrs Armands Krauze un Japānas vēstnieks Latvijā Jošida Kensuke

On Wednesday, February 26th, Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze met with Japanese Ambassador to Latvia Yoshida Kensuke to discuss bilateral cooperation in agriculture and forestry.

The officials discussed the development of economic cooperation between the two countries and potential collaboration in the forestry sector, where Latvia could offer its experience in sustainable forest management, including IT solutions.The meeting also touched on the minister’s upcoming visit to Japan, where Armands Krauze will meet with officials from Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, as well as representatives of the forestry industry. He will also attend the international food exhibition Foodex Japan 2025.

Both officials agreed that there is great potential for expanding and developing cooperation between Latvia and Japan.
