This national dialogue in hybrid format, held on Wednesday, August 11, had focus on challenges and vision of the future of Rural areas and Food systems for the future generations. Latvia has recently become again net food exporter and will, in the future, play an important role in providing heathy, nutritious and affordable food to consumers around the world. Ongoing rural depopulation, restructuring of agriculture and food system are among the challenges that we face.
Latvia as a Member of EU and NATO will continue to use inclusive dialogue with society and stakeholders on how to design the future solutions for the vision of the Food system and rural livelihood.
